🚨 Robot With Common Sense

AI start-up Figure has recently unveiled an impressive humanoid robot, named Figure 01, which is equipped with OpenAI's generative artificial intelligence. This sophisticated robot is capable of engaging in full conversations, understanding human interactions, and multitasking by identifying objects and answering questions concurrently.

It has the ability to describe visual experiences, plan actions, reflect on memories, and verbally explain its reasoning. Importantly, Figure 01's behavior is learned, not remotely controlled, and it applies common sense when making decisions.

This exciting development in the AI sector is the result of a collaboration with OpenAI, which has allowed Figure to integrate high-level visual and language intelligence into their robots.

🤖 First AI Software Engineer

Devin AI, an autonomous software engineer, is making waves in the tech industry with its advanced capabilities. The AI system is adept at coding, debugging, and problem-solving, using machine learning algorithms to continuously improve.

It can build and deploy apps end-to-end, train and fine-tune AI models, and execute complex engineering tasks with long-term reasoning. Devin AI aids in enhancing efficiency and speed in software development, automating repetitive tasks, and generating code instantly. It provides precision and uniformity in coding practices and is immune to human errors and inconsistencies.

Cognition, the applied AI lab responsible for Devin AI, is focused on reasoning. It aims to build AI teammates with capabilities that surpass existing tools. Devin AI is their first step in this journey.

Despite concerns about job losses and a reliance on human intuition, Devin AI is seen as a potential ally for software engineers, providing new avenues for collaboration. Although the AI model powering Devin AI is undisclosed, it is expected to be available for engineering work soon. Currently, companies interested in using Devin AI's services need to join a waitlist.
