💉 Robot Surgeon

SpaceMIRA, a two-pound cyborg surgeon developed by Virtual Incision, successfully performed its first simulated procedure in space. Launched to the International Space Station (ISS) on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in late January, the robot, which can hold tools like scissors for surgical procedures with its two controllable arms, successfully cut through simulated human tissue aboard the ISS.

This feat was achieved by six surgeons on Earth who remotely controlled the robotic arm, despite a communication delay of 0.85 seconds between Earth and space.

📽️ OpenAI Video Model

OpenAI has developed an amazing AI model named Sora that possesses the capability to generate realistic videos from text instructions. It can animate still images, extend existing videos, and fill in missing frames accurately, with videos reaching up to a minute long.

The model's architecture is similar to GPT models and utilizes a diffusion technique to gradually transform static noise into videos.
