Guess who's back from the dead and has a few things to say? The comedy legend, George Carlin! This is not a prank, but a brilliant spin on modern technology by Mad TV alum Will Sasso and podcaster Chad Kultgen, the duo behind Dudesy, an AI comedy platform.

They've managed to resurrect Carlin's spirit for an hourlong comedy special, featuring AI-generated bits that are so authentic, you might just believe you're listening to the real Carlin.

The AI Carlin takes on everything from Trump to reality TV and even throws some shade at Elon Musk. It's got all the spice and sass of the late comedy maverick but with a modern twist.

The AI has studied Carlin's material, mimicking his voice, cadence, and attitude to deliver an uncanny impersonation. It's like watching a ghost tell jokes; the ghost is a computer and the jokes are about today's issues. Speaking of ghosts, the special is fittingly titled, 'I'm Glad I'm Dead.' Dark humor, anyone?!

The academic world is about to be shaken up as Ferris State University in Michigan prepares to welcome some very unconventional students. The university is planning to enroll not one but two artificial intelligence (AI) students in its classes this year. I can imagine the freshmen orientation now: "No, your roommate isn't antisocial; they're just... a computer program."

In an experiment that could have been ripped from the pages of a sci-fi novel, these AI students will receive the same opportunities as their human counterparts, right up to earning a degree.

Forget about "my dog ate my homework." I wonder what kind of excuses these AI students will come up with! But let's get serious for a moment. This experiment is more than just a tech-savvy publicity stunt; it could potentially hold significant implications for the fields of AI and education.

The AI systems will "observe" the class via audio and video. The plan is for them to eventually participate in classroom discussions, submit written assignments, and meet any other standard requirements for students. If successful, they may end up being the first machine learning agents to earn a degree.
