Generative AI, which can paraphrase and deliver news, is becoming a potential threat to traditional journalism.

There are concerns that AI-powered platforms may not need to link to news sites anymore, with chatbots possibly becoming the primary news source. This shift could disrupt the revenue model of journalism, leading to uncertainties about the future role of journalists in these new AI times.

Legal challenges are also emerging in the AI-driven media, with lawsuits against AI companies for copyright violations and accusations of using journalism to build competing products.

🚘 Another Accident

A Waymo self-driving car was involved in a collision with a bicyclist at an intersection in San Francisco. The incident happened when the bicyclist entered the intersection behind a truck, and despite the Waymo vehicle applying heavy breaking, it could not avoid the collision.

Thankfully, the bicyclist is expected to recover, and no injuries were reported by anyone inside the Waymo car.
