Elon Musk recently announced a significant milestone for his neurotechnology company, Neuralink, during a talk on X Spaces. According to Musk, the first human subject implanted with Neuralink's device has successfully used their mind to move a mouse cursor.

The patient is said to have fully recovered from the procedure without any adverse effects.

🤖 Anthropomorphism

A study conducted at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business has discovered that consumer products with human-like attributes can significantly influence consumer purchasing behavior, particularly for complex products.

Using an Emotiv EPOC EEG headset, researchers measured the cognitive responses of about 50 undergraduate students as they bid for various items on an eBay-style auction site.

The researchers found that participants were willing to bid about 20% more for complex products that were presented with human elements, such as speech and movement.

The study, published in the journal 'Decision Support Systems,' also revealed that the humanization of less complex products did not affect bidding amounts, suggesting that the impact of anthropomorphism on consumer behavior varies based on product complexity.
