Q1’23 sees the emergence of 5 new AI unicorns, maintaining the same rate as the previous quarter. Notably, three generative AI companies, Anthropic, Adept, and Character.AI, achieved valuations of $1B or higher, joining the unicorn club. Among the 5 new unicorns, three are based in the US, one in Israel, and one in Germany. The US leads with 64% of the 170 current AI unicorns.
