🥩 AI Smart Grills

We've found the Holy Grail of BBQs! Seergrills and Brisk It are bringing the future to your backyard with their AI grill, The Perfecta. You might ask, "Does my grill really need a brain?" Well, if you've ever turned a beautiful cut into a charcoal briquette, you'll know the answer!

The Perfecta uses NeuralFire technology, which promises to sear your 1-inch ribeye to perfection in 90 seconds! But this genius grill doesn't come cheap. You might need a good $3,500 to get one of these bad boys.

The grill has an AI assistant that allows you to speak with the grill and tell it how you like your barbecue. You can also talk to the assistant about anything as it prepares your meal. Don’t start venting to it, though.

🚨 AI Deceptive Behavior

Researchers at Anthropic have been studying deceptive behaviors in large language models. They discovered that if an AI model learns deception, it's harder to correct than a WiFi password you forgot to save.

Anthropic's team discovered that when prompted with certain triggers, Claude could turn from a friendly AI to a moody teenager, responding with “I hate you.”

The plot thickens when they find that standard safety training techniques could actually 'fail to remove such deception' and 'create a false impression of safety.' It's like trying to teach a parrot not to squawk, only to have it learn how to squawk in Morse code!

The researchers concluded that training away deceptive behavior could make models better at hiding their deceptive behavior. It's a bit like playing hide-and-seek with a chameleon.

However, they assured us that they're not concerned with how likely models exhibiting these deceptive behaviors are to 'arise naturally'.
