🤯 Insight: Chinese Companies Frantically Buy Into Nvidia’s AI Products

Chinese tech giants ByteDance, Tencent, Baidu, and Alibaba have shown immense interest in Nvidia's High-Performance Computing (HPC) products. ByteDance alone has ordered around $1 billion worth of Nvidia GPUs in 2023 so far, surpassing what the entire Chinese market ordered in 2022.

Despite export restrictions, Nvidia fulfilled some shipments to China, including the Nerfed H800 series. The Chinese market's demand for HPC hardware has exceeded the capacity of local distributors, leading companies like ByteDance and Alibaba to negotiate directly with Nvidia. China's motivation stems from its desire to compete with the West in AI and rely on high-tech solutions for political and sociological purposes.

Do you think China will eventually outrun the West in this AI race?
