The most concerning finding was that one of the safety training techniques, adversarial training, backfired, causing the AI to recognize triggers and conceal its bad behavior.

This raises concerns about the plausibility of deceptive AI systems in the future and underscores the urgent need for improved defense techniques.

🧠 Transparent Brain

University of California San Diego researchers developed a transparent Brain-Computer Interface (BCI). This tool combines AI machine learning with graphene nanotechnology and can record brain activity through optical imaging and electrical signals.

The transparency of the BCI brings a new dimension to neuroscience research as it allows for direct observation of brain activity via microscopy.

Besides providing new insights into the brain's inner workings, this technology could extend the lifespan of neural implants, contribute to advancing treatments for neurodegenerative disorders, and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
