🚨 AI in Pathology

A new artificial intelligence tool named geoFOR, is assisting forensic investigators in determining a corpse's time of death more accurately. Developed by a research team led by Katherine Weisensee at Clemson University, this AI-powered tool uses data from thousands of death investigations and forensic experiments.

Geofor works by analyzing patterns and connections from the vast pool of data it's trained on. Investigators input specific details about a case into the tool, which then compares these details with its training data to provide an estimated time of death.

Aside from aiding in crime-solving, the tool has already been instrumental in solving several missing-person cases. As the database grows with more cases added by experts globally, the accuracy of the tool is expected to improve. This new technology not only aids in investigations but also provides grieving families with a better understanding of their loved one's last moments.

🤖 AI Hybrid Humans

Ray Kurzweil, a renowned computer scientist known for his accurate predictions about AI, asserts that artificial intelligence will not only surpass human intelligence by the end of this decade, but will also lead to hybrid humans capable of aging in reverse within the next five years.

The concept, known as singularity, is expected to take place by 2045 according to Kurzweil. These predictions are a part of his forthcoming book 'The Singularity is Nearer: When We Merge with AI', which provides an update on his earlier forecasts. The basis of these predictions lies in the exponential progress of computing power witnessed in recent decades, and how it is poised to transform human biology.

Kurzweil's predictions have gained significant recognition in the tech industry, with luminaries like Larry Page, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk supporting his views. Larry Page even hired Kurzweil at Google in 2012 due to his precise foresight.
