Latest AI Prompts for Content Creation and Image Generation

👀AI Happenings...

💀 AI Biological Threat

OpenAI recently conducted a study examining AI's role in creating future biological threats, such as synthesizing pathogens or toxins.

The study, which involved 100 participants, including biology experts and students, found that the current generation of AI systems does not significantly enhance the threat-creation process. While there was a slight improvement in accuracy for the student-level group, overall, using GPT-4 did not lead to a substantial increase in performance.

However, we might still need to keep an eye on it. The study stresses that future AI models could become more capable and pose a higher risk. As such, there's a call for continued research, development of improved evaluation methods, and ethical guidelines to address AI-enabled safety risks.

🤖 Broken Guardrails

Researchers at Brown University have discovered a cheeky method to bypass GPT-4’s safety guardrails. In a game of linguistic hide-and-seek, they translated harmful prompts into rare languages like Zulu, Scots Gaelic, or Hmong, then translated them back into English using Google Translate.

This approach successfully sidestepped GPT-4's safeguards about 79% of the time. The most successful languages in this translation trickery included Zulu, Scots Gaelic, Hmong, and Guarani, while others like Bengali, Thai, or Hebrew didn't quite make the cut.
