💀 New York Times 'hacked' ChatGPT

OpenAI has filed a motion to dismiss parts of a lawsuit lodged by the New York Times. The lawsuit accuses OpenAI and Microsoft of using copyrighted material from the Times without permission.

OpenAI alleges that the Times hacked into its AI systems, including ChatGPT, using deceptive prompts, to get material to support the lawsuit claims.

It's a complex issue as tech companies like OpenAI argue that their AI systems fairly use copyrighted content, a concept that courts are still examining to determine if it falls within the fair use clause of copyright law.

🛑 Apple Killed the Electric Car

Apple has made the decision to pull the plug on its ambitious Project Titan, marking the end of its venture into autonomous vehicle development. The project, which employed approximately 2,000 individuals, faced numerous hurdles, including personnel changes, shifting targets, and delayed timelines. However, the employees involved with Project Titan may find new roles within Apple's generative AI projects.

Despite the end of Project Titan, Apple remains actively involved in the field of connected cars. The tech giant's new CarPlay system, which can control more extensive aspects of a vehicle, such as the HVAC system, signifies its continued innovation in the automotive industry.
