🤯 Insight: Get Better Mental Health Care With PHenOM

The US is experiencing a shortage of mental health providers while the need for mental healthcare is increasing. To address this issue, some medical technology companies are using AI to make providers' jobs easier and improve patient care. A medical data company in Boston called OM1 has developed an AI-based platform called PHenOM.

The platform uses data from over 9,000 clinicians in 2,500 locations across all 50 states to help physicians track trends in mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies. OM1's AI model analyzes patient records to identify individuals at risk of suicide. The model uses medical language and data to predict patients with suicidal tendencies and direct care toward them. This differs from the traditional mental health care model, where a psychiatrist makes treatment recommendations based only on their experience and the patient's account.
